Product Update
After extended field testing, we decided to remove the interchangeable top component from the current version of the anowa system. The goal of this decision is to simplify the construction and prioritize long term reliability.
The core element of the system, the zippered underquilt attachment, remains unchanged, ensuring stable integration and predictable comfort.
anowa The Hammock System
anowa is a hammock system designed to make hammock sleeping simpler, more predictable, and more stable.
All elements of the system are designed to work together, so there is no need for later adjustments or compromises.
The foundation of anowa is a continuous zippered frame system to which the under insulation fits precisely.
The zippered attachment ensures that the insulation always stays in the correct position, without shifting or the need for readjustment.
The system is by default designed for a RIGHT HAND – LEFT FOOT lying orientation.
anowa Hammock
The anowa hammock is the central element of the system.
It is 330 cm long and 150 cm wide, providing a comfortable lay.
The fabric is 40D ripstop nylon with a DWR treatment, offering resistance to moisture and reliable performance in humid or foggy conditions.
Dyneema loops and quick buckles are located at the ends, and the suspension uses 3 meter 25 mm polyester webbing.
The Dyneema ridgeline fixes the sag of the hammock, so it provides the same base setup every time you hang it.
This helps maintain a comfortable, asymmetrical lying position.
A continuous zippered frame sewn to the bottom of the hammock forms the foundation of the anowa system.
This frame securely holds the underquilt in place, without gaps or movement.
The head end is marked by a darker triangular panel sewn into the end of the hammock.
This helps with correct orientation and quick setup.
The hammock comes with an asymmetrically cut, micro-mesh bug net.
The net can be fully zipped off, allowing it to be cleaned separately from the hammock.
If you don’t need the net, you can easily remove it.
The weight of the hammock including the mesh and suspension is 905 g.
anowa Underquilt
The anowa underquilt is built on a separate rectangular carrier layer that fits precisely into the hammock’s zippered frame.
On top of this sits the asymmetrically cut insulation, shaped to follow the body’s natural sleeping position.
Insulation is placed only where it is truly needed.
There is no unnecessary material and no dead weight.
Thanks to the zippered attachment, the underquilt does not shift, twist, or require adjustment during the night.

The underquilt storage bags have an opening at the bottom.
Through this opening, the hammock buckle can be passed through, allowing the hammock to be packed together with the underquilt attached.
There is no need to detach and pack the insulation separately every time.
