UNDERQUILT/HAMMOCK INSULATION: Sleeping in a hammock even in winter is not much different from sleeping on the ground. In this case, too, having proper insulation is top priority. We use a sleeping pad/mat on the ground as insulation because the filling of the sleeping bag is compressed in contact with the ground, so the insulation is removed. In the case of a hammock, we also compress the filling of the sleeping bag from the bottom and from the side in some places. To provide adequate protection, the bed must be insulated in these places. The underquilt is positioned under the hammock, thanks to which we do not compress its filling, so it provides maximum protection even on the coldest winter nights.

Thanks to its design and the materials used, the product is both ultralight and safe. Due to its large size, it takes up the line of the bed, thereby eliminating possible cold spots. Thanks to the differential cut, the insulation is not compressed when lying in bed, the maximum insulation is maintained. With the help of the elastic cord on the side, you can fine-tune the fit to the edge of the bed. The draft collars prevent air from flowing in and out of the ends.Such properties distinguish it from other traditional hammock insulation options. Available in summer and three-season versions.

The quilts are available with the following temperature/ rating:
APEX 67: 11 °C temperature rating (~420 g)
APEX 100: 8 °C temperature rating (~500 g)
APEX 133: 5 °C temperature rating (~580 g)
APEX 167: 2 °C temperature rating (~660 g)
APEX 200: -1 °C temperature rating (740 g)
IMPORTANT!
The temperature rating is the value between the traditionally/commonly used comfort and limit rating. With the right baselayer, it provides satisfactory insulation for most people. If you sleep cold, you should choose a quilt with one level higher higher insulation value, because the insulation on the lower side is always the most sensitive and critical part of our system.
Therefore, if the lowest temperature in which you would use your hammock is 8 °C, then it is recommended to choose the underquilt with a comfort limit of 5 °C (Apex 133).
